Tire sizes that fit OEM 18" wheels?

What is the recommended OEM tire size for the standard 2008 18" rims? I like tires that appear thinner. So my question is what is the smallest sidewall size I can go with the stock wheels? Thanks in advance.

Stocks are 245/40 r18.
