Bike Rack Saris RS Users?

About bikers using the Saris RS bike rack on the GS: Any more updates or users out there that have used it for long time at highway speeds? Any damage to paint for spoiler? Like the others the RS seems so much more ergonomic than the Bones 3. Thanks

I am not a bike rider, but I would have figured that a person into biking would have gone with a Lexus SUV. I wouldnt be caught dead with a rack on my car

Yakima is now listing a trunk-mount rack for the GS350--the Quick Back in 2 and 3 bike models.

Curt is advertising a trailer hitch (as of June, 09) for the GS350, which is a standard 1 1/4" receiver hitch. It bolts right on with no mods. I'm also going to check out the KUAT receiver mount bike rack. The lightest one (aluminum) is only 11 pounds. This is my preferred way of carrying bikes--not precariously strapped onto the vulnerable trunk lid.

Thanks for the times. I wouldn't 100% trust a G-tech but the 450h when fully charged is very very quick.

I installed the Curt Mfg. receiver hitch today without a problem. As a matter of fact--I did not have to trim the muffler heat shield as the online instructions directed. It's very sturdy, and I will only use it for a receiver hitch-mount bike rack. The rack will have to be able to tilt down for the trunk to open.

I want to get a ski/snowboard rack for my GS430. Lexus dealers do not offer any service installing a rack, but told me to go to some 3rd party place. I'm not a big fan of 3rd party and I want to find a place that will not make my GS look like a piece of crap after putting on ski racks. I don't mind the holders, but I mostly concern about the rails on top when I don't use my holders. I want a place that can make sleek looking rails that match the car instead of them being an eyesore like I see on some cheap cars.

But yeah, I live in Orange County area, so what's a good place that can make me a good rail rack that looks sleek and nice on a Lexus GS430.

i highly doubt u will find what u r looking for (sleek looking). most places dont make them, look at yakima or whatever its called. im sure they probably make one, but its not going to be pretty. i havent tried, but im assuming they wont fit through the ski hole?

Well, obviously not in So Cal right now. But I was thinking maybe now would be a good time to by some snowboard racks at a discount since it's not snowboard season yet.

I don't look for deals but I notice that shorts are on sale in the fall and pants are on sale in the spring. Same concept.

i tried rei and they said a no go for thule and yakima for a 06 gs? but i've seen a gs300 and a 430 during this season up in bear having a rack... i would of asked them about the rack but uh while driving that is a bit hard plus going the other way?! any help?

I have only owned my GS for a few months and now that it is nice out I would like to get back out there biking...does anyone use a bike rack with their GS. Mine does have a spoiler so I am not sure how that is going to effect it. Which brand do you use?
