I'm in Australia, and have 2005 GS300 (3rd Gen) with 165,000km, so about the same as OP.
During my service they told me I had my rear right caliper ceised up. Local dealer charged just over $900 for the part alone. At that price, I will have to make myself believe that genuine parts are better. Hopefully, the rear left will survive a bit longer.
