Default F-Sport intake really worth $300?

I had planned to just buy the F-Sport filter and keep everything else stock but, saw the full intake kit for $300 shipped. I wanted to see if any of you that have the full kit can comment on both fit & finish as well as real world power increases? I can get the filter for $70 or the full kit for $300. Would I do better with just the filter? The verbiage states the lower tray is redesigned and pulls in cooler air, yada, yada, yada. Not sure if that is just marketing hype or of the kit really performs.

Thanks
Todd

You'll be happier with the K&N Typhoon CAI.

I second that and looking to getting that system if I go with performance mods. Suspension first for me. (I miss my IS setup) Though it's nice to have been riding on stock suspension for a change. Oh and the Joe Z is another option similar to the F Sport kit.
