Folks, let just say, if you are going to purchase a 2006 GS or newer, again. Would you rather settle for a V6 or V8? I am gathering info my next car. It's a "New World Order"![Big Grin](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Thanks all

V8. Simple and proven.
Hybrind is great, and I have nothing against it. But time will tell how reliable it will be. You can find 90;s LS400's with v8s gone 200+k miles with no problems. I have met some in 400's and even 400s with 0 problems.

^ hybrids are reliable. in fact, the feb/11 issue of consumers report was comparing how a 9 yr old prius held up. it did very well, and almost performed like new. see attached pdf file. imho, a GS450h should hold up very well.

I was at the Lexus dealer in November as I was waiting on delivery of my Rx 450H, and was introduced to a gentleman who is one of the head engineers for the Hybrid department for Lexus/Toyota. He was here from Japan to examine a Prius that was driving around in town.
Here in Winnpeg for the past 10 years or so almost every taxi is a Prius. This particular one was one of the first ones and they owner had just gone over 1,000,000 km's. According to the tech it never needed any major work and is still in use. That is what I call reliable.

Of course I'm a big fan of the 450h and its power. The only trade off is you can feel the extra weight compared to a more nimble 350.
