Trading in the GS. Opinions?
Planning on selling my 2009 gs350 to pick up an 2011 is 250 f-sport. I know it's a huge change, but I used to have an IS250 and the size is really what I'm looking for. Any suggestions? or thoughts?

That's what I was thinking. With the 4gs out, the kbb on the 3gs will only plummet down even further. I have someone willing to pay a little more than kbb, so I'm thinking I should seize the opportunity.

If I was you, I would at least get an IS350. The IS250 will feel like a downgrade. It would to me at least.

4GS fail
I predict that there will not be a huge demand for the 4GS. I just don't see it solving the eternal GS conundrum 'is is a luxury car or is it a sports sedan?'.
I appreciate that it's lighter than the A6 and 5 series, but the carryover powertrain disappoints, especially the 6 speed automatic. And the styling is muddled, at best. I believe that in time the 3GS will come to be appreciated as a modern classic of subtle, elegant taste. Even my mom who doesn't care about cars at all commented that it was very elegant.
The 3GS became the whipping boy of the buff books for having the wrong badge on the hood.

I heard from a Lexus presentation when the 4GS came out that the whole Lexus line will have a big refresh in 2012. Maybe the new IS is just around the corner... Just a thought...

Thanks for all the thoughts guys. Ended up selling the GS outside to someone who was willing to fork 3k over KBB and bought a brand new 2012 IS250 F-sport instead. Gonna keep this for a bit, save some gas, and I actually pocketed some money though the deal. Gonna wait to see the facelift for the new IS (which I heard is slated for next year model, for the IS at least). I even heard that when the ES is released this summer, its gonna look very similar to the 4GS.
From there, maybe I'll come back to the GS family. Unless I find a nice IS-F
