The passenger side HID on my 07 GS350 keeps going out at random times, and then starts working again. There are no bulb warnings from the computer. I checked around as much as I could only having removed the top plastic engine bay covers and couldn't find any loose connections. I'm not the primary driver of this car but I've been told it happens mostly when parking (that doesn't make sense to me) and has been happening for the past few months. Any ideas?

I'm having the same issue with the HID lights on my 08 IS 250. Sometimes one of the lights would go out randomly. I would have to turn them off and back on - the light that went out would then appear to be slightly dimmer for a bit. Anyone have any clue?

it sounds like you need new hid bulbs or its your ballast.

Having same issue with my 07 GS. Driver headlight, no warning light. Comes back on with on/off.

Was going to ask the Lexus techs this week with the oil change. I'll update if it's anything else.

this happened to me as well. The only way to test out if its your ballast vs. hid bulb is to swap out with a good bulb each side to determine if it is your ballast or hid bulb. Mine was HID bulb thus i bought 4300k morimoto hid bulbs.

The easiest way to figure out the cause is to swap the bulbs left to right. If the problem follows the bulb, you need new bulb, if it stays in the passenger side, most likely the ballast.

correct. i have both for sale as well (bulbs and ballast)

Alright thanks for the advice everyone. I'll switch the bulbs and see what happens. It'll be a week though as the car is currently away on a trip.
