DVD on my ML audio system
Odd question: Can I play dvd movies in my car? I do have the Mark Levingston w/ NAV. And I notice it says DVD on it. I stuck in a movie but only heard sounds. NO picture..
Advise?

Any one else have any advise?? Its really odd to me. I thought Japanese electronics are suppose to last.. hmmmmmmm..

yes i did.. and its not like its not playing.. I can hear the movie. Its just not showing picture. I think rominl is right.. i think my dvd player might be dying..

WOW! Are they replacing the whole unit? I'm almost certain its a software issue. Its just odd that the sound is there but no picture is showing. Or perhaps the signal from either the gear selector and/or parking brake is not sending?

There's also a thread that show you how to override or hack the system to allow it to play dvds with audio and video. having done that either.
but let me know if either one of these works for u

its still like this..although i've read a thread that said that you can see the pics when its parked.

put the car in P, and then engage parking brake. from factory those are the conditions you have to fulfill before you can see video

Does the DVD only apply for ML? I have a non-ML 2007 (w/ nav), can I play DVDs?
