Talking Guess who's got LED DRL's?

Just got the iJDMTOY's LED DRL's with slim decoders in the mail and couldn't help myself but install them immediately. For the driverside you definitely should take out the parking light as well as the windshield wiper fluid hose to squeeze out a couple more inches of room. Welp onto the pics! BTW you do lose function of your high beams but since I live in CA, I won't be hitting the back country roads anytime soon. Let me know what you think!

Comparo to stock bulb and new LED

Can't really say but you can ask Thura from iJDMTOY and pm him for a price! Here's the thread where I originally bought from.

I got a set from deal extreme.com and well as a name brand set from a local tuner shop. they look cool and give off a nice colour but there are total **** on the high way. they are by far the worst type of bulb to use as a high beam they have no usable light output. just fyi I would try them at night if I was you.

They aren't meant as a replacement for high beams lol. As stated before, you lose them. This is just to upgrade the dull halogen DRL's.

Looks good cept the blue isn't my style...I like pure white..I would have gotten led drls or hid drls a long time ago if they have a higher output for high beam use

Is the decoder mandatory? Will they not work without it?

I'm with you. Not diggin' the blue color. Actually, I don't dig DRL's, period. I shut them off!

No... I just don't care, you can barely see the DRLs when you're actually using them during the day and thankfully the easy parking lights which are on at night are easily swapped to nice white LEDs.

Yeh I already have high wattage 5k pure white parking lights from vleds, as well as the ones I currently rock, the amber leds (I think I'm the only 3gen gs guy rocking amber leds for parking lights on CL, I feel exclusive and a pioneer to some extent lmao) which matches the sidemarker of the headlights housing and breaks up the all white light look, since I have 5k hid fogs and 6k PHILIPS bulbs. I want led drls to finish the daytime look.

What happens when you need to flash somebody for some reason? Like if you're stuck behind a slow driver who hogs the left lane?

It's not mandatory but I think you get a flicker because the energy needed to power the LED's are much lower than stock bulbs. So the decoder fixes that difference and you get nice and steady power!

You definitely won't regret it! In the daytime it looks really mean coming from far away all the way up close! I wish someone could drive my car around so I can see what it looks like but I see my reflection every now and it's so sexy.

You can't use your high beams anymore. You just have to be a patient driver and wait till there's enough room to pass which usually happens not so long after. Besides I've only had to use my highbeams on people maybe only twice so far so it's not a common occurence. Patience is a virtue especially when you're talking about driving cars!
