Default GS430 vs GS300 rear end?

Are they both the same on the 2 cars? (does the GS430 have a different differential)?

Great question. Do any of the 3GS's have a steeper rear differential gear ratio? What about the 2IS's?

I can tell you the part number is different between the two for the ring and pinion gears.....

Can you swap the two housing out? one for the other they both bolt up the same?

i believe a ISF LSD diff is a bolt in to our cars no need to switch guts

I believe japan Lexus's have LSD factory, US spec does not

My 2009 GS460 has Limited Slip Differentials from the factory. It's standard on my car.

Could be because of your country. Don't think US gets LSD.

Correct middle east gets jap spec, while we receive US spec

looks like the pre 2011 ISFs have a electronic diff, not helical. the gs and is that come with an "lsd" are actually pre torque lsds. They have springs that preload the spidergears and "aid in inital off the line traction. still might be an improvment though
