I tried searching for it but I couldnt find the thread. I know its possible because I've seen 3GS's in my area with it done. Can someone please tell me how to rewire so i can run my fog lights without turning on my headlights. I'd like to run my DRL's and my Fogs.

are you sure you seen GS' in your area like that? I dont know how the newer ones are but i know its not possible without rewiring. There is a write-up in the 2IS forum on how to do it. I would assume its the same concept, just different color wires probably.

Have a 2010 and the fogs only work when Low Beam is activated. When in high beam mode thje fog lights automatically turn off. Come back to low beam and fogs lights come back on automatically. They will not work in fog light mode only, as wired by the factory.

I haven't done it yet, but I'm assuming all you have to do is find the power wire to DRL and splice the power wire of the fogs to the DRL and it should turn on when only the DRL is on...

But that's just me guessing.. if anyone can confirm ...

i can confirm you will burn the wires on your system like that outkast, that's way too much of a load.

What you do is buy a HID Relay kit, and the DRL's will activate and act as a "turn-on" switch.

Hope that helps. You can also connect this onto a flip switch and wire it into your cabin so you have the availability of turning it on whenever you like. Just make sure it's off when your real fog's power is activated.

On my Acura RSX i had rewired my fogs to my parking lights.

Theres two 3GS's in my area that have it wired that way. I've gotta run one of them down one day.

I made it so that theyre always on when i turn my car on. I am running led fogs so hence they also act as my drl's. I disabled my stock drl's i hate the ugly yelow

I haven't but that's what i've seen people do in my area. I dont like the whole rewiring my foglights ordeal, I have HID in my high's area so it's enough for me.

That could be done, unless you're using HID's, in which case you have to use what i posted. Still I reccomend using the HID Relay thing, better safe than sorry.

most likely their stock bulbs went out after a few months, like they all do, and their just using fogs in the meantime. At least thats what I was doing when both of my bulbs went out and had to wait for my ultinons to ship.
