I swapped in Garax 6k, nice color, light output is not as bad as I thought it would be.

if you want some cooler / whiter color, 6000k is the way to go. however if you care about actual usable light output on the road, factory 4300k is the best you can get. anything higher than 6000k you lose more and more light (and i don't see the point)

I got Garax 6000K and find them as a great balance of quality and price. But if price is no object then Phillips Ultinon like Lex Luga said!

What about 5000k? Wouldn't that be the whitest? How would 5000k compare to the OEM 4300k and 6000k??

I have 5K Morimoto bulbs and can't complain. Price was low and output was what i was loking for, not blue nor purple. Staying away from the blue/purple hue.

anything away from 4300k you lose usable light output on the road

color wise, 5000k would be right between 4300k and 6000k. some say 5000k is white, some say 6000k is "whiter". but then some say 6000k carries too much blue already. it's all subjective

I have these as well and have no complaints, it has a nice balance and they look good, but like others said if you got the money go with the Philips Utilnon 6000k, I do wish someone that had the philips would take a ground pic ( hint, hint) so others could see the real benefit of having those lights.

The lights are EASILY accessed by just popping the hood. Took me a while to figure out how to line it up, but it's really a 2 min job. I've seen the costs of these bulbs be crazy range differences.

I paid $60 for my 6000k (no idea the brand) but they do the job fine and are still going 1 year later, but the Philips go upwards in the $300-$399 range. To pricey for my blood.

I paid 60 i believe for a slightly used pair of Garax 6000k bulbs.

the bumper does not need to come off. once you take the rad cover off, you'll see the clear twist cap on the back of the headlight. take that off and its just 2 clips that hold the bulb in place.
