Good bye wood hello Piano black

Have to echo some of the above comments - the wheel doesn't look as well done as the console section.
Looks rushed, poorly prep'd and you did the multi-function button surrounds when they'd have been best left as they were.

The paint on the leather is now gone little thinners and a cotton bud all gone it was a bit of bleed in the masking tape. I would never have done the centre console and doors and left the wheel that would have looked silly all wood is going going nearl gone when I do the doors
I was sceptical at first but the overal effect now when you get in the car is great but everybody has thier own opinion wood is so out dated now it had to go.
With regards to wrapping you would have to be a good wrapper to do a steering wheel and I ain't so wrapping is a no no for me

If Lexjg is happy, then Im happy for him.
I thought the center console came out great.
For the steering wheel, I would have left the controls the stock color, and color matched the wood sections to match that stock grey or a slightly deeper grey tone to add a little contrast, but still keep it seamless (and possibly using a matte or lustre grey to match up to the grey on the center dash). I think the black on the steering wheel is too much contrast and the piano gloss pushes it way over. To be fair, the wood grain look on the steering wheel sticks out like a sore thumb to me and Ive never liked that look.
Im not into the wood, so overall it is a definite improvement.

Init I live on a good old English farm and Im not one to worry about the matts in the car cuz at the end of the summer I just have it wet cleaned and they come up like new for the summer. I must admit its the 3rd set of genuine mats I have had in this GS alone but good old British weather
