technically it is reversible, just have to buy new would trim.

IMO i would have swapped the wheel as well. I dont think the wheel looks as good either but it could be because of the gray leather. I think if you would have left the buttons the same color as the center of the wheel, it would have flown together a bit better but props to you for doing something different

Too bad you cannot get an all leather steering wheel. I think that would work with the black console better than trying to make the steering wheel black.

You can and do on the GS300 SE and SE-L, unless the Wood Pack option has been spec'd.
Standard fitted steering wheel for the GS430 (and pre-facelift ('08) 450h SE-L too?) along with ACC/PCS.
Not sure what mainland Europe gets, but Ireland has it fitted to the 'Sport' - top spec like the SE-L in UK.
I think I've remembered all that correctly.

I used to feel the same way about my GS. The ES has more wood on the dash than the ES. I personally prefer the wood but you did a great job

I gotta say the console looked good but the steering wheel I think would have looked good if you kept the buttons plastic instead of painting them as well, IMO. You should get a cleaner for those rugs, good job others wise on your mod as everyone has said your brake.

The console looks pretty good.

I think I like this person's console a little better because it's shinier:

@LEXJG, can you take an updated picture of your steering wheel, and also your door trim? Perhaps a picture with better camera lighting will make it look better. I think it just doesn't look uniform as I would have wanted, but as you said, it could have just been the conditions of the picture.

You can use any kind of automotive paint and clear coat. It all comes down to prep, number of layers and all the wet sanding and buffing afterward.

With the vast number of shady auto detailers/car dealers stealing the shift *****/floor mats/manuals/cd's from auction cars. You can find these things relatively cheap on ebay. Shift ***** from GS/IS/LS/ES are all the same, just match the wood grain as there are different shades.

I swapped my black interior into my other gs. If you wanted to see what factory swapped parts looks like.... (haven't cleaned the car in 6-7 months.. ignore the dirt)

What did you swap it from and to?

Can you please take a closer shot of the center console, and the steering wheel? Thanks.

I have/had 2 gs (06 gs430 and still have a 07 gs350). What you see is a gs350 was originally the black on red wood interior. I swapped the interior from my 430 (white on black wood) See attached for better photos. Attached the "white on red wood" just incase anyone wanted to see that

Thanks for all the pics. Is the black wood the same quality as the red wood? Or is there some plastic layer?
