Default Headlamp Intermittent

I have a 2007 GS 350 and, after the vehicle runs for about 15 minutes, the driver's side headlamp goes out. Ever morning, it comes on when I start the car and soon after, it goes out. The headlamps are original and I am contemplating taking it to the dealer.

Has anyone had the problem? I did not see a prior post on it but hope someone has some insight. I have already been pulled over once (given a warning) for the headlamp.

I appreciate your thoughts and suggestions.

Bulb connection/contacts or the ballast one its way out.
Swap bulbs and see if the same one or other headlight acts up - that'll narrow things down.

I assume you purchased your car used? If so its aftermarket bulbs and this is a common issue with Lexus when cheap bulbs are used to replace the OEM. Once you swap them to the other side it will work but you will keep having this issue. The driver side is common to have this issue. If your not certain pull one of the bulbs carefully and post a pic for us to help you out.

even the oem bulbs suck...

this is probably the most common problem on the gs, just browse through this forum and you will see hundreds of threads about this. It literally is just the crappy bulbs. Buy some quality bulbs, which there are plenty of threads about as well, and your problem will be solved.

Thank you for all over your help. I swapped the bulb and the problem has been fixed. I am, however, not the least bit thrilled with that cost of a bulb, but grateful for all of your help.
