Correct me if I'm wrong ppl but don't you think the new gen ES looks a bit sportier and bulkier than the GS, especially the back.... It would be nice to see the F-Sport kit on the ES ... I dont maybe it's just me I'll post pics of both you guys be the judge of that...

Yes. The ES does look better, more complete and more balanced.

Yep you are correct. The design of the ES flows. The front, rear and sides complement the overall design. While the new GS front is aggressive but the rear and side are bland. They did a great job in designing the ES. It almost reminds me of a smaller LS.

Hey but it seems like the new GS is selling like hot cakes so I guess they did something right.

It flows well from front to back. I also read somewhere it is a longer car than the GS? Lexus really needs to come out with a v8 or v10 GSF beast now.

The more I learn about the new Lexus line-up, the more disappointed I am by the new GS. ES looks like a single design piece (as opposed to the GS front-vs-back difference), and even the RX gets an 8-speed transmission. I'm definitely waiting for the mid-cycle refresh to see if they address these issues before I would even consider the new GS.

There is a thread in the 4GS section talking about the '13 ES350 vs '13 GS350

I posted this in that thread

After chopping the pic, I'm liking this more and more....

but, I prefer the sportiness and driving dynamics in the '13 GS350

Now, just make the ES rwd, and I'll consider.

Remember that ES still has the 2GR-FE engine, which only outputs ~268hp.

This just means the new gs will fail once again... I have to see the ES before I can agree or disagree.

I'm holding my breath for the mid cycle refresh too. Any idea when that would be?

As now I can't get myself to pull the trigger on the 4gs -can't believe they eliminated the power folding mirrors!

No idea, but I just bought 7yr/100k extended warranty for my '09 after checking out the new GS, so I'm probably looking at '15/16 for my next purchase. I'm hoping they'll fix the styling, improve Enform, upgrade the powertrain, and bring back the little things (like folding mirrors and trunk struts).

It's just you, although a lot better than the last gen ES, but to me it doesn't beat the styling on the 4GS. I still think the 3GS is nicer than the new ES lol.
