I feel like gas station are really shady now days...
I know this might be covered numerous of times, but i am sure everyone here might fill up their car once or twice a week $60-70 a tank, and i used to always fill up all my cars at Chevron, but ever since i got my car i felt like my GSh only giving me 23.5mpg using Chevron 91, one day i was low on gas so i just stop by at a random gas station call "speedee" i was worry at first about the quality of the gas but I don't want to damage my fuel pump with low gas, so i gave it a shot, drive with their gas for a week, i am getting 27mpg my driving habit never change, and its been a while since i did my oil change, which is weird... after that i went back to Chevron with their 91 again, it drops back to 24mpg.
anyone feel the same too? I live in Las Vegas which we don't have those 10% ethnol in our gas.

um.. what i did was calculate how many miles i had driven, let's say i drove 380miles on that tank, fill it up till the pump stop, 380/15gal = 25mpg... or is there other way? I think the car is pretty accurate. My previous Honda and Mercedes was never accurate.

Is that Chevron gas with Techron? It's an extra added detergent instead of the standard amount. Shell is also doing the same thing, adding more detergent and "nitro" and claiming it's good for the car. Since the standard amount of detergent is good enough, by adding more it's basically you are getting less gas.
Personally I don't like ethanol cause it cost too much to produce and it jack up the corn price.

^ that's what they claim. But to me, the standard amount of detergent is enough. Standard already clean the engine, any more cleaning just useless. Same with adding Nitrogen enrich. It doesn't do harm but you do get less of what you want which is gas for your engine.
For the burn cleaner using Nitrogen enrich is kinda true. Cause you can't burn nitrogen. So claiming burn a none burnable gas as clean is true.

I use Exxon And united dairy farmers (udf) gas. I get the best mpg and performance. Shell kills my mpg's and it runs like crap in both my Lexus and my non picky 99 4runner. I don't even go into speedway's lot unless I'm filling up my dads duramax or need kerosene.

Getting 23mpg & filling up more often in Las Vegas should be a pleasure! At your gas stations, not only can you get regular alcohol (not the BS 3.2% like they have here in Denver), but you can also play video poker and slots!!!

I fill at the 76 where I live and I always fill 91. My 06 gs300 gets about 20 mpg from that gas. I fill from Shell and I get about 18 mpg. In my opinion, where u fill up actually matters
