Nice! Sliver with black is harder to find. You can put tinted windows.

Thanks all! I am comteplating the window tint as I like how it looks w/out tint, but the tint may help preserve the interior in the hot summer time in SoCal. Not sure if I'll change anything on the car, may just keep it as-is.

I did however see a clean GS350 on Friday early morning on the (5) fwy near Dodger stadium, and it had what looks like a rear window spoiler, I think that's what its called. I really like the look of it on the rear window and his windows were tinted it looked ever better. I am thinking of buying this to put on my car, but not sure if it will look good w/out window tint. I'll see.

Congrats on the purchase and standing your ground on price. Awesome looking GS with a rumble of a V8 now but with gas prices going sky high and 2 extra cylinders i would be skeptical.

Very nice I envy you. Would you have done a deal to a 350? I am looking into upgrading now and was offered a 300 for a great price, but was really looking at a 350 for the extra 50 horses. Have you test drove a 350 in comparsion to your 300?

As for the MPG I knew what I was getting into with a v8 compared to the v6 of GS300. I did a bit of reading on the fuel economy before seriously trying for the 460 and found there isn't a huge difference between the 300 and 460 at least according to what I found on-line

2006 GS300- 19 city / 25 hwy - combined 21
2008 GS460 - 17 city / 24 hwy - combined 20

I don't have a heavy foot so I think I'll be okay, and the 460 is not my DD. I do spend a lot of time in stop-n-go rush hour traffic on my daily commut and I'm sure I will see the 460 not doing well in these cases. But I have a commuter car so I only drive the 460 1or 2 times during the week and mostly on weekends. I have had the car 9 days and I haven't burned through a full tank yet to really know the average I am getting per tank.

xsh0tya, I have not driven a GS350. I didn't consider a 350 when I was looking, no reason for not looking at a 350, but the 460 caught my attention because of the price, a one owner car, and detailed service history. I imagine the 350 drives just as nice as a 300 or 460 with varying difference, but I don't really know. There is a diffference between the 300 and 460 as far as comfort and power.

Highlights 300 vs 350 vs 460
0- 60 : 6.8 vs 5.7 vs 5.4
1/4 mile: 15.4 vs 13.9 vs 14.2
The 460 performance wise blows the 300 away but not so much the 350. Thats why Im having a hard decision making narrowing down my choices. If you could pick up a 300 for with 90k kms or 56k miles on it for around $13k and this is a 300 in showroom condition serviced at the dealership (actually off of a salesman, who is older and babied it). Or would you say that the other models just blow the 300 away.(Double the money!)

Congrats on the 460...a new member to the 460 club! Sounds like you did really well on your negotiation. I think that's a great price you got. Now, it's time to get a custom true dual exhaust, and really hear the V8 growl. Enjoy the car!

xsh0tya I guess it depends on what you're looking to get out of the car. $13k for an 2006 GS300 with 56k miles is a really low asking price but then again I don't know about pricing in your region.

For the heck of it I did a search here locally in southern California and a 2006 GS300 with miles in the range of 51k - 57k miles, is averaging about $23k - $26k. The cheapest one i saw is going for $15500k and it has 134k miles on it. These are from Lexus and non Lexus dealers. I guess as long as the one your looking at checks out, carfax, service history, etc....., then I would say its a good buy. Good luck on whatever you decide.

Does the GS350/GS460 blow away the GS300. They have more power but they are all good cars and you'll get different opinions on the "blow away" opinion, again, I'd say they are all good cars. I liked the 300, but I am happier with the 460.

Thanks for the advice, I think I will def jump on it assuming that it all checks out. Hopefully when it isn't too good to be true. But I still envy you and your new ride. Congrats!!
