I'm receiving my new headlights within this week. I had the idea to put LEDs in the high beams and disabling the DRLs with Techstream. I think it should work very well that way.

How do you prevent LED DRL from blinking? I have a resistor on mine but still blinks, my LED DRL is dual and can be used as highbeam also. Any suggestions?

You need not only a resistor but also a PWM decoder. Then it won't flicker, but you won't have high beams anymore.

Did you end up going LED for high beam and no DRL?

I installed the bulbs but because my car is Canadian, I discovered I don't have the option to disable the DRLs. So I'm not fully happy with this solution, but as I often need high beams to flash people who forget to turn on their headlights or when I need to tell someone he can switch lanes, I let my headlights on permanently to avoid the flicker in DRL mode.
