Default Clay Bar.....finally

long overdue as she finally got her detail with clay bar, 4 coats of wax and wheel treatment. Aaahh, she feels good.

Very clean. How long did it take to do the whole car?

I didn't do it myself. I took it to a shop and it took over 2 hours (3 guys on it).

4 coats of wax :O , I heard that if you put more than 2 coats you are taking the previous applied wax off. And it will start to full the finish the more you put on. Just a thought. Also with a 2 hour detail, which also includes clay barring, that means applying 4 coats doesn't give the wax enough time to properly bond to the paint. Anyhow, the car still looks great! Love the wheels too!

Although like you, i'm not sure more than 2 coats would take off old wax (i only use 1-coat anyways, just very carefully go back and forth for a long time )

I feel the same way about you saying 2-hr 4-coat detail job is just not enough time. The car looks spectacular however!

Thanks! Love my wheels too. I'm rolling on Megan EZ coils set to level 8 all around. it's exactly 2 inches when laid side by side to the stock struts. 275/30/20 rear/245/35/20 Kumho Ecsta's. Shaved fenders front and rear. The rear is rubbing slightly on highway dips, but nothing uncommon. Only the front scrapes metal, when turning into a driveway so I need to shave the front more. good luck with yours!

I think you have the best GS rims on the forum. They go great with the car.

Gorgeous, but I'm biased. Except for the rims, it's my car (which is stock) so I apologize for any other mods I'm unaware of.
