Default From GTI to GS - my 'new guy' bio

Hi guys. Just traded my 09 GTI for an 06 GS300 AWD with GS430 wheels.

My dub:

My GS
(will have proper pics after a clay bar and wax.)

I'll miss my GTI, but I miss having 4 doors and AWD even more.
I traded my Audi (below) for the GTI in 2009 and miss the luxury feel.

I am a former Indycar suspension engineer and automotive lighting project manager, so as soon as I dive into see all that we've got under there I will offer to help as much as possible where I can. (And many years ago a buddy of mine and I built a sound car for Morel's SEMA booth) I have been very active on the GolfMKV, GolfMK6, and VWVortex in the past 6 years, and NICO (nissan infiniti club) before that.

Anyways, I'll leave it at that for now. Looking forward to my time on Club Lexus!

Thanks for the luv everyone!

I was lucky to find this car in such great shape. It has been very well cared for. The interior is spotless.

Going to start out with a Vaistech SL2Vi as I don't have the ML stereo.

I'll be searching the DIYs and FAQs for the next week I'm sure. If anyone feels like dropping some knowledge about their experience with their GS feel free!

Matt

Hmm. I have a spare iPhone that I was going to use for the nav (video) part.

I'll look into the VML. Thanks for the heads up.

Welcome man the GTI looked nice with the Cayenne rims lol. What are you gonna do cosmetic wise to the GS?

I absolutely loved the GTI. It is a fantastic car. I had issues with my dealer and decided to move on now that my commute went up to 56 miles per day.

You wouldn't believe how quick those cars can get with only bolt-ons.

It's an AWD, and I've been reading that people have been experiencing issues with lowering them.

I'm a big fan of OEM+, so F-Sport wheels, sways, dampers, and maybe springs.
If I can figure out the lowering issues, then I will be more likely to get the additional set of wheels.

We'll see how everything goes. There are a lot of tasteful cars on here, and I have really enjoyed seein all what has been done.

We'll see.
