What up Guys.
New owner here.
2008 GS450h
Silver on black.
Previous rides you can see on my youtube channel under serbiasrt8 needless to say i am very impressed.Coming from 7 series BMW,and some AMG models i must say that this car is the most interesting one i ever owned.
I just made a trip from Switzerland down to Italy, trough Slovenia,Croatia and finally to Belgrade Serbia. In a few days down to Greece in direction Thessaloniki and then down to Pefkohori,Hanioti.
The Car avareged around 8 Liters per 100km and by average speed od 120 km/h.
It was a very nice drive down some twisties and mountain and alpine roads
Had to let a few people know that this car is by NO means slow!!!Loved the priceless look on their faces after i let them pass me...

Had one quick question.
How do you like the brakes on your 450h?I have a feeling like they would feel a little weird by hard braking.I thought it might be the tires, they would kinda make the car shake a little or make a roarring sound when trying to come to a hard stop.Maybe the tires or the weird road surface...but the tires are brand new Pirelli P Zero Nero...

Also, can you adjust the door lock/un lock feature so that it makes an audible sound/beep so that i know it is locked?

I hope all of you enjoy your cars in health.

Dejan

Welcome and my congratulations on a great ride..

my 2008 is Granite on Black.
I looked at a Silver 2007... I'm very glad that I waited and found a 2008... they have several improvements over the 2007.

And I agree for a car this fast, this much fun to drive, it is remarkable to get 8l/100km (or about 35 mpg on the free way)... Though the last time I blasted down I5 I think I was about 32 mpg... still outstanding.

My car rides on nearly shot Micheline Primacy HP tires and I get a slow speed noise similar to yours but I get my noise both while speeding up and while slowing down. Hard braking is done with little noise or drama... but slow speeds are "rumble rumble rumble"

I'm guessing that our cars are so quiet... (you can actually hear rain drops on the sun roof, like being inside a tent) that we can hear every little noise that the tires/brakes/suspension makes.

If there is something amiss with your car, do post so I can take a look at mine. Likewise, I'm about to swap out my Micheline tires for A/S P-Zeros... I hope that most of my slow speed noise becomes a thing of the past.

The 2008's have a updated steering wheel,
The buttons for the trunk, and the gas are outside of the "James Bond" panel
The front grill and high beams have more "style" too them, less "hard boiled egg shaped"
There are turn indicators on the mirrors,
Most of the early squeak and rattle problems had been resolved
Nicer shift plate and wood surround
Slightly different instrument panel
And there is an MP3 jack for the radio.

That's about it.
