Looking at GS buy 07 or 08 model?
Been a reader on here for a while and am about to go on test drives. Would I be better off buying a 2008 GS instead of the first year of the new motor in the 2007? Are there recalls or first year kinks in the 2007? I have my eye on a 07 with 78K miles Ultra premium. thanks.

Just minor changes in the interior and exterior I like the changes doh and ended up getting an 08 main differences are bigger side mirrors with side markers, bigger front grill, no plastic in the rear bottom and a couple changes in the interior.

I went through this as well. I decided on the 08' I like the front bumper and side mirrors. Though in my opinion there is no reason why the 06 or 07 shouldn't have had the mirrors with the signal, but hey the 08 still has a cassette player. Overall it's your personal preference.

I'll echo what's already been said, it's your personal preference. I just went through this a few months ago as well. We decided on a '08 + and picked up an '08.
The styling between the two are subtle, but I think what most people tend to do is buy an earlier model to try a save a "few bucks" and end up spending more than that in the end to make it look "newer" and in the end spend way more.
Granted, there's nothing wrong with the '06, '07.

I remember when I had my 99 TL and then the 02 mid life update occurred. I no longer liked my car as much because the 02+ looked way better. With the GS I waited for the 4th gen to drop to make sure that I didn't experience that again. I'm happy, and I actually love driving again.
I had the 01 TL and felt your outdated pain
But I have the 07 GSH and the only thing I wish I had are the bigger side view mirrors/turn signals. I like the 08+ front bumper, but I like the Auto Couture front lip on the 07 bumper more (my next mod).
If we are talking strictly 450H and not 460/350...
I'd get a newer 3GS 450H just for the trunk and spare tire, but when I was looking for a 450h, the newer ones were about $3k more than what I paid for my CPO 07 and they weren't CPOs.
