I like these replica wheels! Definitely one of the nicest Lexus wheel design along with with the 06-07 GS430 18" 5-spoke. I would do the silver color though not a fan of black wheel on black car without removing the chrome accents on window/headlight/grille trim.
Yikes, that is pretty hefty still.... I don't know if anyone's tried this, but when I had my Miata, I had some lightweight 16in wheels vs my 17in RH C5's, most definitely the 16in wheels were lighter A LOT to the C5s (not being much heavier) but they made a HUUUGE difference in driving experience. It's something I really look forward to again . No matter how much power (I had approx 260whp on that setup for i believe 2300lbs car?) you have, the wheels will be much more responsive if they're in fact lighter.
All things being equal, acceleration will be improved, and economy too - but since the 3GS is no Mazda MX-5 or Honda S2000, then the relative improvements will be overshadowed by the sheer bulk of the rest of what the car has to lug around.
If you're into weight reduction on sports cars, then you'd even drive with the fuel tank half or less full.
