I have a GS350 AWD. I put 19X8 all around. Originally I screwed up and put 245/40/19 and they rubbed in the front and looked ballonish. I then put 245/35/19 which looked a little small and left space in the wheel well. Now I have 225/40/19 which looks great and the ride quality is excellent. The factory 17's that came stock have an overall diameter of 25.9. This diameter of the 225/40/19 matches the stock setup identically and looks great. This is actually the recommended tire size per lexus on the stock sheet for 19x8. Ride quality is great with the 225/40/19. When I had the 245/35/19 he road noise was very noticeable. I've learned from 3 sets of tires, go with the 225/40/19. I was told by a lexus tech that for AWD run the same width tire front and back.

Hi guys I'm new to the club. Just got a 2010 gs 3.5 awd. Love it!!! I just need to make it a bit special. I, too, want a set of f sport wheels and I'm trying to figure out if it's a straight swap. Do I need 19x8 in the rear as well as the front or do the 19x9s work fine in the rear? Are staggered wheels an issue with awd? I'm not planning on lowering it. what are the proper tire dimensions? 235/40/19 I have seen. Maybe 245/35/19 for rear. Does that sound right? Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.

No kidding? I wouldnt have thought that size. Thats enlightening. Did you have trouble with the rim being too wide for the tire or is there substantial side wall? In other words if my wife drives it will the rims be safe? lol. the offset is the same too As the stock 17s? Do you have a pic? Id love to see it. Thanks for the advice.

The rim isn't too wide. If you go with what they put on the current gen GS the tire size is 235/40/19. I was trying to match the original OD of my stock 17's and not affect ride quality. With any low profile not much you can do for rim protection. Just don't let wifey drive the car. LOL

Ok here is my last and final post so nobody else makes a 4 time tire mistake like myself. This will be my 5th set trying to get this correct. Please disregard every post on what I said about tire sizes previously. I just put on 235/40/19 and it is the perfect fit. ENd of story for this post. Always go with 235/40/19.
