Default Noob here in need of some advice.

Hello all:

I am looking into purchasing a 2007-2009ish GS350 in the next few weeks. Here are my questions.

The only mod I want to do is lower it.

How many miles are too many miles? I know Lexus' can go for a long time, but this is going to be my DD and I want it to be reliable. I always maintain my vehicles religiously.

How is the Lexus black paint? I owned one black vehicle and thought I would never buy another black vehicle. But black looks so nice on the GS'. I am looking into white or gray with a black or darker interior.

What known issues should I look out for in these vehicles?

Any other pointers from anyone?

Know anyone selling theirs?

Thanks!

These car will last a very long time...as long as they are maintained. With that said, I would look for something with continuous on time service records.

Currently have Obsidian.... Car looks great as long as you keep it up ( took me 10hrs of polishing, waxing, sealing etc) to get it right. With proper wash technique the paint will be fine. Black is black no matter what car, it will take the same amount of maintnence to keep it looking nice

Hope this helps

Search the forum based on what year you are looking at

Make sure all TSBs have been serviced.

As for colors, I have a SGM 2007 GS350. It's a pain to maintain the shine. Is it worth it??? Yes and know. Car looks great when clean (gets clayed 1x/year and Zaino'ed every 4 months). But as I find my time can be put to better use, my next car will be either white or silver (colors that don't require a wipe down every morning).

That's why im leaning toward white. But it's so hard to find a white one with a dark interior. gray would be nice. black would be PURRRRFECT.
