Opinion please 300 or 430

i'm on to my 3rd GS and the previous 2 were 300s and i drove them to 200k running just as good as the day i got them so reliability on a 300 should not be a concern. my current GS is a 430 and i must say i have been nothing short of blown away by the feel, power and sound of the V-8. the gas mileage is fairly comparable but the power is not. you could do a 350 and get some of that power feel with the mileage. i payed a little bit more then a 300 but i figured for resale a V-8 would be more desirable and i would get some of it back on the back end. hope this helps!

I've had a lot of fast cars and power does not matter when you're stuck in traffic most of the time. The 300 can move, but not like the 350 or the V8s.
That being said, the 350 and the V8s are not fast cars. They are luxury cars with more power than your average car. If it is outright speed and 4 doors with space and reliability is your thing, go find a Pontiac G8.
The 300 is lighter than all other variants by hundreds of pounds, and it's handling is more balanced. But, the 430 is a superb engine on all counts, even if it is a bit thirsty.
Can't go wrong. And anyone that thinks an 06 is "old" can come drive my pristine 06 and tell me that they can tell a difference. It's all in how it's taken care of. Just like most things in life.

Just another FYI, I average about 20mpg in my 430...50/50 city & freeway...I do drive the car(not hard whatsoever) but when I need to pull out in traffic or get on the freeway, I flip the power button & sport mode & step on the gas.

Thank you so much for the responses I do appreciate it! I am starting to look everywhere now to find a 430 because after driving the 300 you just cant compare it and I need the power! My previous cars all had above 300hp so I would definitely miss it

450h trounces the 430 in the power stakes, but could you live with the small boot due to the poor hybrid batteries locating design exercise Lexus managed to pull off so successfully!
That aside, the car does have some grunt, and will be slightly kinder to the wallet with a light foot around town.
Of course, budget constraints may preclude the 450h from contemplation, but then again, maybe it's worth stretching for once you've driven it.
