My 07 Gs350 won't hit rev limit when accelerating hard, resulting in 0-60 time that is slower than 4 cylinder.
I have traction control on in my video, however, i don't see how that can limit the revs.
I even turned traction off afterwards. Still no difference.
This video shows a DIFFERENT gs350. This driver has traction control off, but it turns back on shortly, and he can hit the rev limit.
Same here....
MY CAR, on the other hand, does not hit above 4k rpm, and only hits 60 after 9 seconds of hard acceleration!!!!
awfully slow.
I floor the gas, and rpm does not go to 6500. Lower gears max out at 3500rpm.
S-mode makes no difference. power ECT mode makes no difference. Notice how I'm already in power mode in my video.
You see the other driver in first video is driving in regular D mode !!
My regular D mode is even slower.
I had the valve spring recall done september last year. I never noticed the slow acceleration until recently because the wife drives it 99% of the time.
What is wrong ? Car is unbelievably slow.
How do I make it hit the rev limiter ?
Did the dealer screw up my engine programming and cripple my engine when doing the valve recall?
It feels like it's locked in snow mode, although I don't know what snow mode behaves like, because I never use it.

A self-try fix may be to disconnect the battery for an hour (negative or both terminals - up to you), then reattach, and obviously do the sunroof and windows reset routines.
See if that resets anything in the ECU, allowing you to use full rpm once warmed up.
Try it once more using the semi-auto mode - but only after you've made sure the oil level is spot on and fluids, etc up to nominal operating temperature.
If you still can't access full rpm, then try the battery option before speaking to the dealer.
Might be worth seeing if a code is stored, but I can't help thinking if there was, you'd have a lit up cluster to notify you of any reduced power mode the car was in.
In the event there's no code stored, then the only thing I can think of at this moment, is the kickdown switch is faulty, assuming you're stomping on the pedal enough to activate it.

i've seen a lot but haven't seen that. there is no kickdown switch. i'd love to diagnose that one myself cause it's odd. almost like the pedal isn't being pushed all the way. but the accel pedal sensor has 2 sensors, so a fault in one would be caught by the other one and instant check engine light. so i don't know what your problem is. get it to a dealer. if you come to atlanta, bring it to me.
