Default Just picked up an 06 GS430

Wanted to introduce myself. My name is Ron and just picked up a black/black 06 Gs430 with ML and navi with 45k on her. This is the 3rd Lexus i have owned. Previously owned a 91 Ls400 and then a 01 Is300. I just sold an 04 S2000 that was my daily driver. Wanted to luxury back in my life

Very nice pick up. What's you plan for her? Got some mods in mind?

Thinking of some wheels and lowering springs. Up in the air on going with 19's or 20's

Sometimes with the niggles of the V6 engine (well, at least it has a timing chain) I wish I would have gone for the gold and got a 430 instead of the 300 way back, but then I remind myself that I already feel like the GS300 burns TOO MUCH GAS. :P Doesn't help that I drive 90% in the city at all, I'm sure the 430 would be a real pig for my driving habits.

Pig it is . Real stop andgo in NYC driving is 10 mpg. Unless there is some freeway driving involved its not getting any better. Mixed I get 19-21. All highway 23-26 depending on speed. But power is always there and that makes me happy!

I originally was looking for a GS350 but came across this 430 and was exactly what i was looking for it had the ML and Navi and was a price i couldnt pass up. When i sold my Ls400 and went to a Is300 and figured i would save gas in the V-6 but was pretty disappointed. The V-6 didnt get much better mileage. I realize the new 350 has the same power as the 430 but i knew buying either car it would suck up gas. We also own a Tsx that we use on long trips and its a great car 30mpg and it has heated seats and all the comforts i like. The weekend toy is a SC Nsx and that drinks gas. LOL

You've made a great choice.... The 3uz engine has been great to me... At 89k miles and not one single problem IMO With he car.... only problems I get are concentrated in other areas of the gs
