I have a 2006 Lexus Gs 430. Ive noticed that when im driving down the street that the left driver side headlight turns off, not sure why but all I do is turn the swith to the lights off, then back on and the headlight turns back on, and then randomly turns back off, not sure what this maybe but kind of scared that ill be going down the road with my light off and a cop sees it LOL. Any ideas what this maybe? maybe just a simple headlight change? or an electrical issue? Any advise will be appreciated.
Thanks

1) It's not electrical, it's your headlight
2) switch the bulbs, left to right and vis versa.
-- if problem follow the bulb, need new bulb.
-- If problem stay, it's ballast.
-- If problem resolved, than one ballast is a bit weak and can't fully power the older bulb. Again easier to change the bulb.

^ I remember reading on here someone said lexus only sell the whole assembly. I wish someone would retrofit our headlight assembly to fit other size and maybe rearrange the bulb too. Cause this thing somehow is not as bright as the one point to the front.
Honestly, I change my HID bulb more often than my old car using the old Halogen bulb. I didn't need to change them for over 5 years. These HID is about 1 year.

When my GS 400 light was doing the same thing years ago Lexus said I had to buy the whole light assembly after I bought it come to find out they did in fact had the ballast in stock. After I ***** them out the ended up replacing my other light for free because one light look new and one was old looking and I had them write on the work order to check the ballast because I thought that was the problem with my car. Anyway good luck with yours.

It happened to my left headlight too when my right headlight was already out (due to water getting into the ballast). Unfortunately the day it went out was a celebration day for my city and they had many police road blocks on the road. When the light went out I was right by the cops and I had cops in cruisers, bikes, motorcycles pull out, and cops on foot surround me because both of my lights were out....

You can buy the Philips Ultinon from a guy on Ebay. I got a pair not too long ago, 6000K flash white and I was happy with the results. Unfortunately, my GS was wrecked and totaled so I can't predict how long these bulbs will last. They are made in Germany and cost around $100 shipped.

^ let me guess you hit a tree right after you put in this 6000k light and drive at night so you couldn't see that tree? LOL j/k
with tree and other non reflective objects, they are more visible with 4300k color than 6000k color.

Definitely bulbs... replace them problem solved. There really should be something in the users manual to edcuate people about what happens when these D4S bulbs start to fail because people are so used to the failure method of incandescent of (working ... working... working... dead).
