Default ABS, VSC, CHECK SYSTEM, TRACTION LIGHT - Soft brake pedal

Noticed issue while driving last month
while driving my traction light went off, system said check VSC but it went away after turning the car off.

The ABS light, VSC, Traction control light, Red Triangle light, and check system went off
Its been about a week, there hasn't been any difference in driving except it seems like the brake pedel has gotten really soft.

Not sure whats going on, if anyone has experienced this please advise, car has 80K plus miles

Check your brake fluid lately? If you get any codes, i can look in the repair manual for you.

Try tightening your gas cap completely.

Don't think this is the fuel cap trick to fix, not whilst there's mention of soft brake pedal feel.
uMulla - get the car looked at pronto.
Might be nothing, and just your imagination, but don't take the risk in case something isn't 100% right on the braking front.
Could be as mentioned above - fluid in need of changing, but it could also be pads/discs, if not caliper, and that's assuming it's nothing to do with the master cylinder.
Give yourself extra distance behind the cars in front of you, and get the dealer or an independent to check it over, and maybe see what the code stored was alerting you to.

I've experienced the fuel cap scare, no brake pedal difference to accompany it.
By all means, tighten the cap, it'll not do any harm, but you can't just dismiss a soft brake pedal feel as if it's nothing.

Its not the Gas Cap for sure

I had all the brakes, rotors, calipers changed and brake flush
Light had been on before that.

I will scan for codes in the morning

If not a simple air lock that's moved through the system over time since doing the brakes, then hardware.
As it's the braking system, I'd have expected something more permanent lit up if it was a wheel sensor/brake master cylinder/ABS control unit.
No leaks? What's the brake fluid level like in the reservoir?

Okay, pedal was fine prior to changing pads, etc?
Warning lights on before, did they go off permanently or reappear every once in a while?
Since new parts fitted, pedal was fine until one time or did it gradually get softer?

What's the score if you try this - engine off, electrics on, press brake pedal a few times?
Does it stiffen after 2-3 presses? (or more, if at all)

All point toward the MC on its way out or air trapped.
I'd re-bleed the brakes and make sure the nipples are well tightened, especially if the warning lights are on and off at random times.
