Hey guys, I have been checking into doing the ISF caliper/rotor swap and found some really good threads of people using ISF rotors (14.2") with Corvette Z06 calipers with some great success! Someone made some brackets to fit an SC300 and it looks like they are checking into making some for the IS300/350 possibly. This whole kit front+back only runs about $1400 if I'm reading this right which is crazy cheap for some damn good brakes.

My question is would the brackets that some have used on their SC300/IS300 work on our GS? A lot of the parts are universal and just may work. PLEASE chime in with any insights that someone could give. I would also love to stop on a dime with a 4000lb car

Damn it! I just PM the OP, LRD and waiting for his answer. Reading this some more, it looks like they are for the fronts only BUT the whole setup is now under $1000 for the whole front setup!!!!!! This is a must have.

I have 6 piston bbk brembos on my Nsx and i had Wilwoods on my S2k. Are you guys doing BBK for the look? My Gs430 has really good stock brakes. I couldnt justify spending the $$$ unless it was for looks/show

SoCal, is that a factory sized rotor with the ISF caliper? Direct bolt-on? I was looking to see if I could change the caliper to a lighter 4 piston or possibly 6-piston setup. I like the stock brakes but it isn't as linear as I would like and there aren't many pad options to go with. I loved my wilwoods with the BP-10 pads on the street for the rsx. Thanks.

I did see the rotora bbk but I'm looking at utilizing a blank rotor with a lighter caliper/better pad. I like as much surface area I can get. I don't have heat issues but I would like a more predictable pedal/performance. As with lighter calipers and/or rotors, I can drop some unsprung weight and get a slight increase in drivability.

I believe the size of the rotor is sufficient. A two-piece blank rotor with a lighter caliper with better pad options would be ideal but there isn't much on the market unless you want to spend 2000+. And I have learned my lesson with cross-drilled/slotted rotors. Not a fan of them on a daily driver.

The rotors yes its direct bolt-on, but you need either replace the dust shields with the ISF one or cut it the original one. And you need ISF wheel hubs to have the front calipers seat correctly.The rears the caliper and rotors no problem, they're direct bolt-on

Hey dtd80, SoCal is using the ISF rotors which are 14.2" and that's why everyone is using them on the other forums. Also I've seen people going with the Cadillac CTS-V calipers from 04-07 which are 4 piston and light weight and they only run $150 each!!! Or you can use the CTS-V 09+ which are 6 piston and more expensive.

I'm doing some more research and come to find out that the ISF front calipers are 6-piston and extremely light weight and from SoCal are a direct fit for us. There are brackets that others are making for the Z06 6-piston calipers and they are running $150 or so. With the cost of the calipers which are $700 on partstaxi.com, it might just be cheaper to get the ISF calipers. I'm just trying to see how much the ISF calipers are going to run.

Interesting. Just being able to go with a lighter caliper with pad options is ideal. Are these brackets custom made to fit z06 calipers?

Yes sir! They are making them to fit the Z06 Calipers but I got a reply that they don't fit our GS... So you would have to make your own bracket or get a shop to make them for you. I can't find the ISF calipers only, just reman's. I need to find an online place that has them new. No ebay as well.

On rockauto.com the front rotors (Raybestos) NEW are only $105.79 a piece for the fronts and $62.79 a piece for the rears. Damn if only I could locate the calipers from a yard that would be so cool.

Thanks for the information bfor3. I will keep searching. There is a member with a wilwood kit on a GS. I will look more into that.
