Had my CSP done for this, and unfortunately, i'm still burning 1qt of oil + every 1k mi. We're now monitoring consumption, and may be replacing the lower block. We were hoping that the new rings, pistons, valve seals, ect would take care of everything...but not so.

It must be frustrating but at least you have a warranty for it at all unlike us suckers up north.

I purchased my 06 GS 300 AWD w/77k miles from Lexus of Edison in NJ last Tuesday.
Today, I brought my car back to dealership because the low engine oil light came on yesterday after driving about 300 miles. At the end, they pulled the codes for misfires and Lexus approved for the repair.
I will drop off my car at the dealership Monday and was told that the repair would take about a week or two.
Still not sure if I should feel lucky to have the repair covered by Lexus or be pissed off.

The repair costs over 6000$ :-)

Be happy. My 06 had new rings and the head cleaned, inspected and new valve seals. I am now enjoying a steady idle, good smooth power and fantastic mpg. Repair was over 4600.00. Covered by Lexus. I just hope the cats are good and don't crap out due to soot buildup.

No warranty at all. I have 192k miles on my car - I drove a lot
I was dumbfounded that they covered my CSB given the mileage. I do not know how we will handle the continued oil consumption issue however. If it gets to replacing the lower block, i may have to contribute to the cost. We will cross that bridge in a few months, as thankfully my mileage has dropped recently...

Yup. Mine are gone due to this, but because it cannot be 'proven' that the oil consumption caused them to fail (even though it is common sense), i'm on my own to replace. I can't gripe, given the circumstance. I'll just end up doing an O2 delete to solve the idiot light issue.

Default Cowl Creek Issues after CSP

Has anyone experienced the cowl creek issues after the piston ring CSP? Also, can anyone confirm if the cowl is removed during the CSP? I don't know much about the mechanical side of things; but my car was quiet (after have the cowl insulated) and now it's noisy again when it came back from the shop after having the engine work done. thanks.

I had someone refer me to this. anyway I was getting 31.5 or so mpg on the freeway 06 gs350 and I am down to around 25mpg. I thought it was my dual exaust and 19" wheel upgrades making me get less miles per gallon. In 1600 miles I lost 4 quarts. then 2300 miles later I lost 2 quarts. so I am losing oil myself. so this mpg thing is directly related to losing oil? does Sewell lexus in dallas fix this stuff? the place here in Shreveport is a rip off lying telling me I am leaking oil when in fact no other dealers can see an oil leak and I don't see anything on my concrete I park at every day.

I don't see a link there, but in any case I doubt Canadian delivered VINs would help me - my GS was sold new in Oklahoma City.
