I've tried to research and I'm still not sure what I need but I want to be able to play DVDs and be able to hook up my phone or iPod, I saw on the vaistech website a intergrated android setup and I'm wondering if it would work on our car? I have the evo4g lte and it was listed under the device, if anything I just want DVD and some sort of avi in to the screen. Thanks

if you do not have ML then you do not have the dvd option.

id talk to Henry (rominl) about the vaistech video. if you dont have ML then it will work with the 06GS. I believe you will be able to play video through that unit. From what source, im not sure as i havent owned a vaistech product but i know they are very good and high recommended.

Get a Vaistech SL2Vi and an iPod video or iPod touch. Good to go.

I have an SL2Vi on my 06 no nav/ML and its great.

Side note... If you are planning on getting an iPhone 5, don't bother. It won't pass analog video like 4 & 4S.
