i never put tpms' in my wheels when i had them and i never threw a code unless i drove for more than 50 miles without turning the car off.

I will update you when i take the car down to Miami next weekend. Its a 300 mile trip. I did reset it once when my battery was drained from the guy tinting my windows and left my ignition on. I was also debating the comment that if you rotate your tires you need to reset the TPMS. The OP stated he was going to have to pay for a dealer to reset his TPMS if another shop installed the tire and you can simply reset it yourself under the dash. I dont see the need to pay extra money and purchase a tire from a dealer. You could very well be right about my car. I dont think i have driven more than 50 miles without shutting off the car since i replaced my wheels
