Yes i saw the car at CCW web they got 3 pics on the site. Whats the point of putting 40 series in front and 35 on rear? Isnt lot better if u just wrap it 35 all around?

His car is an AWD model with staggered fitment. You need to keep the overall tire diameter very close or you will mess up the AWD system.

But even without AWD, you will have different series tires on staggered setups.

Yea even getyourwheels.com offers 40 at front and 35 for rear. but i would get 35 all around so it will look aero dynamic type. I just dont get it why they always offer that kind of fitment. Btw do u know by chance what kinda of splitter was that?

not sure since he doesnt mention and he hasnt logged on in almost 2 years so you probably cant ask him lol. it looks similar to the vis one i had on my old car. i highly doubt its a splitter made for the 3GS, probably a universal one.

Whut?

If you are thinking that the tires' sidewalls will look uneven to your eye because of the series difference, you are mistaken. Unless you are getting the same width wheels on all four corners, you will have different series tires on the front and rear of the car.

In my opinion, the splitter is the only part of that car that doesn't look good. That guy ran his car on the track, which is why he had the splitter. If you like that look, there are some lips out there that look close to it, but give a more finished appearance than tacking on a universal splitter. Splitters were cool for a few years, but kind of outdated for street "fashion" now. They do have aerodynamic benefits, but it doesn't seem like performance is what you are going for.

Its true. We have the same idea tho, im not into vip tucked wheels. I'd rather do like no gap from tire to fender with wide wheels. But He did a great job, i appreciate the splitter too, looks cool. Very unique out of all the GS out here.
