Default Transmission and Power steering Flush

Recently bought a 06 GS300, loved it!

then came to find out the Transmission Fluid is actually sealed, cant be drained and refill, only 20% anyways.

So, i found a shop over in Chino called " Chino Hills Nissan" they do a great job for Flushing my Transmission and PS fluid for only $200 !!!

check them out call Nam or Mike @ 909-620-0119

I was told by Lexus not to do a complete flush of the tranmission fluid on my car which at the time was an 06 GS300 as its not recommended in the maintenance. I did only a drain and refill. Not sure how others faired when dong a complete tranny flush.

Also meant to say great pricing but curious why you would want a Nissan service tech to work on your Lexus?

Sup Jay & GS350,

Let me clear something up. i just got the news that my car dont have PS when i picked up the car yesterday, Nam did the Tranny flush AND brake flush for me for only $150.

i just bought this 06 GS since last week, still learning a lot of great new things this car has to offer.

So, no i did not get ripped off, just had a new learning experience, das all.

A good technician is a good technician - and they can be hard to find.... If he/she is that good, they will also be smart enough to do a bit of research or tech data review if the job is that out of the ordinary etc.

Now, would I take my hybrid to a non-hybrid tech... Ahhhh no..

Cheers

Is changing the tranny fluid in the GS300 similar to the GS350 where you need a 'machine' to do it because it is sealed?

would you trust a Toyota Dealership to change transmission fluid for $50 less than the Lexus Dealership?

Many people do. I know my local Toyota dealership has a trained Lexus Tech that handles most of the Lexus vehicles/customers etc. $50 difference is one thing, its the extra 30-40 miles to the Lexus dealership thats the pain....

If I could find a Toyota dealer in my area that would actually work on a Lexus then I may consider it depending on what I needed done. As of now the few Toyota dealers I have asked have refused to work on Lexus, and I realize this is not the case in other states or areas, but in SoCal this is what I have encountered.

Thanks, I was worried because I had been hearing that you need a special machine to do the transmission refill, the people at Toyota was saying that they could handle it because some models they sell are the same as Lexus gs350.
