Flac to Wav Audio
I wanted to experiment a bit so I burnt a few CD's in a wave format.
Converting a FLAC file to a WAV stereo format. I tried converting one album to 7.1 format and the results were not great. Sound was all over and overall volume was lover.
I used Pink Floyds Dark side of the moon album, Also Dire Straits Brothers in Arms album for testing.
So far I am satisfied, and with use a Wav format for future discs.
I cant not say its a day and night difference between a 320 MP3 cd and a Wav disc, but in theory it sounds better. I got a 5 hour drive coming up on Friday and Ill be able to listen to a few new discs, will report back on it after that.
I gotta say, ML system is a bit overrated. I was a bit more optimistic in my previous reviews. Low end is too distorted, mids are OK. Even Steely Dan cds are not terribly impressive. Its still a good system just far from perfect. Id say the biggest disappointing is the bass definition.
