Default How to clear the VSC, ECB light

This is how to clear the VSC, ECB light... I just did it my 06 GS430 after changing my brake pad and the lights came on. Save me a trip to the stealership

If the code is able to be cleared, jumper connectors TC and EG (PINS 13 and 4)at the DLC 3 and press the brake 8+ times in 5 seconds. The pic and description below is just for reference and not the pins you need!

Cool trick. Mine just went off after driving for a day or so. It comes on everything I disconnect the battery for a long period of time.

Good to know. I am about to change my brakes and bleed the breaks. Do anyone know how to bleed the brakes properly on the GS430, because of the service manual is super complicated on bleeding the brakes.

Hello,
Changed rotors yesterday and now have all the lights on. Hard to drive/brake without EBC. Need some clarification of the procedure.
1. Should the car be started first o not?
2. “Jumper connectors TC and EG (PINS 13 and 4)” Should I short 13 and 4?
3. “Press the brake 8+ times in 5 seconds.” Is it really possible to do 8 in 5 seconds

Apologies for lame question but I will soon go to the car to reset and would like to avoid any troubles.

Thank you for any help and advice

Default awesome

This worked like a charm... I used a momentary switch and 2 3 foot leads of 18 Guage cable. Put one lead in pin 4 and pin 13... with the car off push the start button 2 times so the car is in accessory and not on.... then hold the switch, while holding push the break pedal 8 times quickly in less tHan 5 seconds. All your dash lights will blink several times... let go of the switch and turn your car on everything should be gone

How does clearing codes work? If someone goes to buy a used vehicle that has no lights on the dash, is it possible that codes were cleared so the dash doesn't show lights? Is this clearing permanent? Could problem codes be hidden?

In other words, if codes can be cleared permanently so the dash lights are not on, how does one know if the previous owner is hiding problems?
