Default Tire Suggestions for my wheels, looking for more stretch.

Hey CL members i want to go lower on my car and i have a set of 20's with the current tire setup of 245-35-20 all the way round since i have wheels of 20x8.5 and was wondering if anyone can recommend me with some specs on the tires i should go with since i want some more stretch and these are barely even stretched out. Im eventually going to get 9.5's for the rear's so if someone could guide me with how much stretch to go with so that my tires could tuck in the wheel well. This is how it is now i want to go atleast an inch or 2 lower and for me to go lower i need different set of tires for the wheels so that it clears my front.

Thanks in advance,
1SloGS

Most reason why people stretch is because the offset is too low. Yours @ 8.5, to stretch would go 205 max 215....YUCK man dont do it.

Id suggest 9.5 and 10.5 with offset in the 20's, and stretch a 235 and 275 . This is my plan anyways.

I wouldn't put too expensive wheel on it, just heard on the news a couple came out from movie theater to find their SUV on 4 blocks of brick. To make things worse, the tow truck had to drag the car up the lift. That's stupid of them to allow that. If it were me I would talk to the manage of the movie theater if they can leave the car there over night and come back with 4 donuts to drive the car home.

idk if it cause by our bad economy but in this Obama time I heard many strange strange things popping up.

you must be new to wheels. that is not uncommon and even happens to factory wheels as well.

^ less chance of it happen with OEM wheels.

I'm a wheel virgin. Never cross my mind to get another set of wheels. My car only need 1 set and 1 is enough.

I know what you mean and im actually going to get 9.5's for my rear so ill go with what you suggested and they dont make 10.5s in 20's for these wheels they make 22x10.5 which is too big so im just going to stick with 8.5's in the front and 9.5's in the rear where i will be ordering my 9.5's sometime soon.

Yeah thats what one of the CL members had told me when he saw my car, he was like you should have gone with 245/30 for the tire set up so yeah ill take a look into it.

Yeah i know what you are talking about thats why to take precautions i have put 3 different sets of lug locks which would take those guys to take an age to figuer one wheel out so yeah.

They are not the first or last people who will have their wheels stolen. And it definitely has been happening way before President Obama took office.

Not to be off topic, but the point is, that is not a reason to avoid changing wheels. That's why we have insurance!
