New GS430 Owner - Has 22's Wants 20's
Hey All,
New Owner of this 2006 GS430! The car has Custom 3 Piece rims that look great, however they rub and I am going to be doing a fair share of highway driving.
5 Lug - 22" NC Forged Newport staggered 3 piece wheels with chrome face/lip and onyx highlights.
Kuhmo Ecsta ASK Tires
Front 245 30R 22
Back 285 25R 22
First time Lexus Owner. First Time 3 Piece Rim Owner.
Appreciate your thoughts on downsizing the rims as they will have to clear the StopTech Breaks. I was thinking 20's, similar style however a single piece vs. 3.
Aanyone connect me with someone willing to do a trade or take mine in on a new set?
Appreciate your thoughts and glad to be a memeber.
I don't see a GA Club - I would be willing to help start one.
Jess

Congrats on the GS. Nice brakes!
But yeah, the wheel size and style are not too great, as you said. Your car would look pretty good with some properly fitted 20's and a nice drop. I'm not a fan of the fenders either, but I think that the wheels are the real problem here holding your car back. You already have a head start with those outstanding brakes though!
P.S.- I recommend a nice silver face wheel with that color... no mirror finished face or black windows. Keep it silver with a polished lip and you'll be good to go.

Spar - Welcome! Im here in Buford, My suggestion to you, sell them on craigslist and get some nice used rims. I just picked up some asanti A146 for $1k (originially $5-6k)... wasnt my first choice in brand, But since they came with virtually new pirelli, I said why not.
