Default In Cabin air filters

Hi all,

about to purchase an in-cabin air filter for a 07 gs350 and cant figure out which one to purchase.

Sewell lists 2 different models..

1) http://lexus.sewellparts.com/accesso...2007/2467.html

and

2) http://lexus.sewellparts.com/accesso...2007/2498.html

If my understanding is correct, link 2 is the filter that goes in the glove compartment. What is Link 1 used for?

They're both interior cabin filters but I think the darker more expensive one is the carbon-impregnated one. The filter does an amazing job covering any moldy or sour smell coming from the A/C. I actually have that one currently and it still does a good job.

Thanks for the info Mesca! I was thinking the GS had multiple in-cabin filters like the LS's.

Are these made my Toyota? or are there other companies that make them for our cars too?

The ones listed above are OEM. I am sure there are aftermarket options available on amazon, iron toad, etc

Just changed my cabin filter on my 09 Gs 460. Got a wix from the auto parts store for $13 and did the change in about 2 minutes.

Just be SURE to put the ac in recirculate mode so you do not break anything.

Thanks for the helpful threads.
