Default Yet another TPMS thread - just want to clear the TPMS warning on dash

As a temporary fix, I put the tire pressure sensors in a donut tire in the trunk.

Not sure if one of the sensors has gone bad, but after having the code cleared, it pops back up.

I searched the "tricks" thread and really didn't see a DIY solution for clearing the dash code.

Eventually I will have holes drilled in my aftermarket wheels, but in the meantime is there a DIY solution for clearing the code? Do I have to buy one of those tools that are sold in the Vendor classifieds to do so? Will the button in the glovebox clear the code?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

The button on the trunk would help if u have a new set of wheels with a new set of tpms.
I would suggest bring it to ur local tire shop that have the tpms programmer and have them reset it for u . Should be around $40-50 .Dont go on the dealer

From what I know, nothing will clear the warning unless you have 4 registered tpms with the right air amount.

There is a trick to build a pvc tube cap it and put a valve stem at the end, while putting all the sensors in the tube.

But I think your best bet is to drill out the wheels

Yeah I will eventually just drill holes for the sensors.

Anyone else here do the donut tire method? I was under the impression that the donut tire method was pretty solid in terms of keeping the warning message off. That's why I am thinking one of the sensors may have gone bad.

when you pump all tires to 35psi, that light should go away.
