Hey guys,

Classic story, mom goes away, I borrow her car, something happens.
1. Yes she knew I was using it, my car's in the body shop.
2. I was not beating on it at all.

With that being said here's my problem:

So the other day I started the car and realized I left something in the house, so I went in quick and when I came back out the car didn't sound like it was idling correctly. It had some sort of pebbles in a can or "clanking" sound to it. I'm not exactly sure how to explain it. But this has gotten me worried, because it surely does not sound well.

I do know these cars do have a tick at idle because of the injectors, but I think this is more than a click and I've never really heard this sound before.

Please anyone with any input, have you heard of this or have any idea what it could be?

Does it only make the sound while idling or driving? Is the noise worse while idling or does it get worse while accelerating? Is it worse when cold and get better once hot?

It's pretty much always there. I don't think it gets louder when I accelerate or anything.

When it idles I hear it clanking or what ever the noise is. And it's also constant hot or cold.
