Mis fire and oil consumption same thing???
It seems like the mis fire and oil consumption is like the same problem and issue. They go hand and hand. So I don't understand why the dealer won't fix my car because its out of warranty but with the mis fire it's unlimited mileage. Does anyone know the production VIN# that allows the 2006 GS to fall under the misfire warranty. My cars vin in the Vin# range or production for the oil consumption but out of warranty. So I want to see if it falls under the misfire vin range with unlimited mileage. Please help!!!

I'm not sure which 'unlimited mileage' warranty you're referring to. But, TSIB SB-0125-12 is for "MIL ON DTC P030#, Intermittently Runs Rough, and/or Engine Oil Consumption"
It affects all 2006 GS300s, no VIN ranges specified. This TSIB is only done if the vehicle falls under 72months or 70k miles, whichever occurs first.

This misfire problem has unlimited mileage on the warranty if they pull the codes. Now the oil consumption issue is a problem that has to do with the piston rings that are bad on most of the cars. But the misfire is also caused by the same piston rings that are bad while causes build up and oil consumption as well.
