I have an 08 Navi non ML. The audio system has developed a mind of it's own. The volume control on the unit sporatically stops working, control on the steering wheel works, after a while the volume control on the unit starts working again. The system turns off on it's own and ejects a CD. I have had one instance where the on/off did not work but was able to turn it on using voice recognition. At other times everything works fine.

Car will be do for an oil change soon, so will bring it back to the dealer. Only problem is that the dealer has to replicate the issue. This could be hit or miss as it is a sporatic problem.

Has anyone experienced anything like this?

My 07 450h (ML system) does the same thing. I find it to be worse when everything's cold. Perhaps the dealer could do some kind of audio system re-initialization. I've been doing a lot of work on mine recently, so the battery's been pulled a dozen times.
