The reason they are denying it is because parts like that are usually required to be returned as part of the warranty claim. If there is any question about impact or something visual that shows it could have caused damage to the hub bearing then they will deny it.

Yeah, I understand that if they are too eager to change parts at Toyota’s expense with no good reason to fix those parts under warranty, Toyota will not reimburse them. I am fine with that. I might try another dealer, but since the part has been shipped, I might as well just replace it myself.
