Unhappy Electrical/Malfunctioning Nightmare After Installing PS MEIS-P2AV

Hey everyone,

I'm not new to the forum, however haven't been on in a long while, and some how can't access old account.

I have the following issues with my 2006 GS300 only 40,000 on my baby:

All lights are coming on. P/S, Brake Light, ABS, AFS off, and Check engine light (possible tire pressure). Car will not shift out of park. unless using shift lock release button. A/C display on screen not working (Frozen), or manual buttons for usage. Gear indictator on dash not lighting up showing current gear. Temperature guage stuck on cold all the way on bottom. Gas light is always on and bounces up and down briefly. Windshield washer spray stopped working. All of this occured after installing Prestigious Society's module.

The good new the module works!

The bad new my car is a nightmare now and can't not be driven long distances now. I had a trip planned on Friday going to Toronto from Boston.

I have attached pics below of everything that came on.

I tried disconnecting the battery and letting it sit for an hour before connecting it back. Issue still remains.

I had Vais Soundlinq 2 before and Grom in the past without an issue

Can someone help me out with some advice!

I would like to fix it before a sad trip to the stealership>Lexus or Toyota.

Thanks again!!

Yuck...

I would try uninstalling the MEIS-P2AV and seeing if the issue goes away. If not, then perhaps you left something unplugged when you were installing the unit?

So I thought as well. I did uninstall it, however problem remains the same. Everything is plugged in correctly. This is the first time this has occured. Could it be a fuses blown? I feel like my car is haunted now, how it's doing random things by itself now.

Yikes! I'd start with pulling DTC codes. Could be a coincidence, although I don't tend to believe in coincidences. Do you have access to a ODBII code scanner?

Have you tried unhooking the battery to see if it may all reset?

That's exactly what I did. I went to one shop, he could not pull up anything on his scanner. I then went to a more reputable shop and they could not pull up anything. I feel like this car is laughing at me after 6 years of ownership.

ouch...

may I ask how you installed? any tapping of wires? any wires tapped from the other items you had previously installed?

assuming this is the navi bypass....did you install behind the glove box?

The systems was a typical plug and play. No wires were tapped. The Vais Soundlinq 2 was a plug and play as well. All those wires were taken out upon removal prior to installing PS MEIS. My lexus does not have a Nav, I stalled it to the left of Lexus unit.

I just read up on the unit you installed:

Either something was faulty in the product that shorted your system.

Your car wasn't full shut off, left in ACC mode, or maybe turned on and a connection wasn't secure causing it to short.

Outside of what you have done, if pulling the battery for an hour or more does not reset everything and no codes are stored not sure there is much more you can check. If you haven't checked the main fuses, if I recall they are under the hood, this is the next step before seeing the dealer. If they all check out I'm out of ideas. My fear is that something shorted the entire system

If unhooking the battery doesnt solve it, I wonder if it could be a charging issue. Maybe low cell battery or alternator is not working properly. I have seen other cars do that, and the cause was either battery or alt.

That's my worries exactly. I checked all the fuses. They are all good.

As weird as it sounds. I rather it be the alternator than something more costly!
