Default Friend is looking for his first GS 350- 2009 or 2010 CPO, same miles, $8k difference

Wondering what peoples thoughts were regarding the changes between the 09 and 10, and if CPO really makes a lot of sense. Both dealers keep talking about how reliable these cars are, etc.

The 2009 has 28K miles on it, it is being sold at a Mercedes dealership. Beautiful car, looks to be well maintained with all records. Includes NAV, ventilated seats, among other things.

The 2010 has 26K miles on it, being sold at a Lexus dealership. Again very attractive car- he liked the interior color a touch more, and had the dark/blackish wood. Car is a CPO and included the extended warranty up to 100k miles or 3 years. Options are similar, NAV, XM, parking sensors, ventilated seats, etc.

The question is if there is enough between 2009 and 2010 changes, plus the car being a CPO to warrant the $8k price difference. He likes the 09 color more, but the 10 interior more. The 09 seems to be a bit cleaner, but a good detail (will be included on the 10) should clean up most of that.

Since you know much more about these cars then I do, what seems to be the consensus. I think the Lexus dealer is still over charging a couple thousand to show how well they hold their value to push people into new cars. The Mercedes dealership is probably a touch under charging to get rid of a rival from their lot.

Thoughts?
