Not sure how to determine which sub I have in my neimen marcus 07 450h, but I am pretty sure its blown - certain frequencies sound awful. I think if I removed it I would find the cone separated from the surround. I dont know if it being a NM edition changes things or not?
Anyone know what kind of sub this is - and what the impedance is? I think I can replace the sub with any 10" woofer with the same ratings as OEM and have no issues? Might have to cut some of the carpet away that would expose the magnet a little?
How do I remove the current one?
Anyone done this and have reqs on a sub to replace it with?
TIA

Google speaker repair shops in your area to see and possibly have them do the repair

Or fix it yourself

A kicker CVR would be a nice replacement from what I've heard. However replacing that requires you to use an aftermarket amplifier system.
You say Neiman marcus, is this the shopping store "Neiman Marcus?"
You can tell whether you have Mark Levinson or not in your radio console (it will say Mark Levinson on the radio).
Also, to verify what your subs ohm-load is. You can always open up the panel in your trunk located on the right side, there is a small amplifier that will tell you which ohm load your subwoofer is. From there you will know what to replace your speaker with.
P.S. Forgot to mention, but you have to unbolt, unplug your amplifier, and it's the opposite side facing you that will tell you a diagram of what ohm-load your speakers are.

since your subwoofer is still working, i assume the coil does still work. so you can just measure the resistance of the coil and get a replacement. probably (just assuming) it's around 3-4 Ohm, so you can get a 4-ohm replacement sub.
you might also be able to fix a torn membrane or the dustcaps.

I just replaced my Sub foam with SimplySpeakers foam. My 2006 is 14 years old, considering it came out in mid-2005, and all the foam is shot. This was a simple solution.Going to replace all four door speaker foam next.
